That’s one recipe I haven’t made in a long time and I’d sure like to make it again. Can I rent your family for a week? They’re all so gorgeous that I’d be in awe and never notice my own son wasn’t there. Seriously, when life is that good and for a whole week or more, don’t you just have to pinch yourself to realize how lucky you are? I’m sure De De is in his prime, holding those adorable grandkids! I hope it’s the greatest vacation you ever had! love you

And speaking of food, it was the Best. Food. Ever. I lost 6-8 lbs before going and happily piled it back on. Oh my.

I just ADORE Turkey — and I am so so happy that you are going with your family. You are going to have a spectacular time! (And btw, I really loved The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks! )

I’m so happy you loved Henrietta Lacks! I’m now reading The Orphan Master’s Son. It’s wonderful (and oh so depressing). Takes place in N Korea. Turkey was the best vacation ever. This was my third trip and it just keeps getting better and better.
