The Etiquette of Threesomes

Life in the Boomer Lane has been vainly searching for anything to write about that has nothing to do with the Nazification of Trump, the downfall of American Democracy, the End of the World in General, or the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce romance.

She hit paydirt with today’s post from her most favorite political commentator, Heather Cox Richardson. Heather (as LBL foldly refers to her), is brilliant, astute, and visionary, all of which place her on the extreme minority end of today’s willfully ignorant human populace. Heather simply lives her life actually understanding the political universe. Her daily blog/newsletter (Letters from An American-free) is thus based on an exhaustive knowledge of both US history and current US and world events, combined with the ability to then voice opinions that LBL always wishes had come out of her own mouth.

Today’s gem centered on Florida Republican Party chair Christian Ziegler, who has always been a Good Little God-fearing member of the GOP. In addition to his first name, his endless bona fides include being married to Bridget, his adoring wife and co-founder of Moms for Liberty. For those Readers who have been living in an overturned walnut shell tossed aside by some sated squirrel, MFL is the oh-so-devoted-to-the-Little-Ones group that lives for the well-being of their offspring by deciding which books the tykes can read, what they can learn in school, which religions/race/and political party are superior, and who instill in these innocents a profound love of country and the personal firearms that protect it. You simply can’t get any more American than Ziegler and his wife.

Unfortunately, Ziegler had to take time out of his busy schedule by addressing rape charges. Court documents show that the Zieglers and the woman Ziegler allegedly raped had participated in a three-way sexual relationship in the past. The rape occurred after they had set up another encounter that Bridget could not make (It is unclear whether her inability to attend the menage a tois was due to her being too busy crafting healthy and safe educational plans for the Little Ones.) The woman they were supposed to tryst with then canceled, telling Ziegler “I was mainly in it for her.” He went to her home anyway, and the rest is now part of GOP history.

Moms for Liberty immediated responded by saying that Bridget Ziegler was no longer on their board and purged her name from their website. They then could go back to focusing on their primary mission of eradicating LBGTQ-types, transvestites, Dems, and gun control enthusiasts from ruining their childrens’ lives. Even DeSantis dropped Ziegler like a hot tranvestite.

It will remain to be seen what happens to Ziegler, his wife and Moms for Liberty. But Readers should know that this post is, in no way, meant to cast aspersions on threesomes. It is also not meant to imply that all members of the GOP are hypocritical or believe that toddlers should have guns or think that it is OK to rape someone who cancelled an appointment with you. Although, honestly, there must be better ways to cancel a sexual appointment than by insulting one of the people you were supposed to have the appointment with. I mean, that should go without saying, right?
