I have to watch this movie every time it is on. I HAVE TO. I do not know why. It has everything that I usually hate…war…violence…adultery…politics. I just can’t help myself.
So funny that you found this photo. I thhink it was actually a post I did last winter about the snow. I don’t understand how some of the photos I use for posts end up as posts themselves. My “fat-cat” photo that I used for a cat post gets more hits than any post I actually write. That said, I LOVE THIS FILM. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it. It gets me every single time.
I thought there must be a post that my computer ate (it’s very hungry lately, eating some of my posts, I thought maybe it wanted to taste something different). I’ll have to look for the Fat Cat picture.
The fat-cat thing was making me so crazy that I wrote a post very recently about it. I figured, at least let people read actual words. Well, turns out the single photo of fat-cat generates more hits than the post titled fat-cat. Maybe I should just post photos and nothing else. Then I’d have time for a part-time job.
Dr. Zhivago is my fave movie of all time. Every time Sharif got tears in his eyes I would get lost in those intense, brown pools of sorrow. Who could be more beautiful than Julie Christie? The scene at the end where he is riding on the Trolley and sees Julie walking through the streets and he is clutching his chest, having “the big one” and he dies and never gets to see her! Definitely a box-of-tissues movie if there ever was one!
Thanks for visiting Life in the Boomer Lane, Lauris. Dr Zviage is one of those films I can watch over and over. And each time, I want Laura to turn around at the end and see him. I was just thinking of that scene the other day.
